This revolutionary technology was the foundation for many other innovations, including the Top Unheading Device, Retractable Center Feed Device, Smart Electric Actuator, Isolation Valves, Auto-Switch Coke Boring/Cutting Tools, and other related equipment.POSITION DETAILS Position Summary As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for quality engineering of several projects, quality lead for aftermarket and local supplier quality engineer ensuring that all design requirements are implemented and maintained. This role also is responsible to ensure manufacturing and quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials are met for partially finished or finished products. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. You will design methods and procedures for manufacturing, inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment, and finished products. You will perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes and quality standards and procedures and assist with assuring compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. ISO, Six Sigma, ASME, API). You will also initiate corrective actions and facilitate resolution and sustainable compliance. Principal Activities You will: Assist Quality Manager to maintaining compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Prepare detailed Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection and Test Reports, valve testing criteria, and other documentation to support customer and project requirements. Manage local welding program in accordance with ASME and company specifications. Define and develop quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Review and evaluate complex in-process non-conformances, obtain disposition, and implement corrective action as needed. Interface with customers, suppliers, and various company departments to develop strategies and quality plans, provide details related to project manufacturing and quality processes and expectations, and resolve non-conformances to meet project requirements. Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving process and action resolutions. Facilitate internal and external quality related audits, motivating stakeholder participation. Act as the subject matter expert in support of manufacturing, quality, welding, and engineering, mentoring and training team members as needed. Define and develop selection criteria for supplier qualification, certification, evaluation, ratings, and performance improvement. Select, interpret, and apply the appropriate problem-solving methodology (pareto charts, cause-and-effect diagrams, flowcharts, control charts, check sheets, scatter diagrams, histograms) to support process improvement, profitability, and company growth. Review and approve suppliers' manufacturing and quality control procedures, including welding and NDE procedures. Develop and implement quality systems to achieve international product certification as required. Job Requirements:CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities You have/are: Proven expertise in and detailed knowledge of Non-destructive Examination requirements necessary to select appropriate methods (RT, UT, PT, MT) and are ASNT Level II certified in MT and PT Certified as an AWS welding inspector (CWI) or possess the minimum requirements to test and receive certification. Expertise in filler metal control, heat treatment and general welding processes Firm understanding of all basic manufacturing processes Excellent knowledge of codes and standards such as ASME Section II, V, VIII, and IX, B16.34, B31.3, and PED, ATEX Expertise in metallurgy and fabrication of low chrome alloys Able to work very independently with minimal direction or guidance Solid communication and conflict management skills in a variety of settings and at all levels with suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities, and management Professional, objective, detail oriented, organized, customer focused, and efficient with proven time management skills Knowledgeable in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and Lean, with ability to manage continuous improvement teams Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Welding, and/or Mechanical Engineering or other, relevant technical field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with ISO 9001 Minimum 3-5 years of weld engineering experience Minimum 3-5 years of related quality and manufacturing experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas Following Experience / Qualifications Strongly Desired Certified six-sigma green belt Experience with a wide range of NDE auditing Experience with FaroArm or CMM Experience in casting foundry environment and processes Experience working in fabrication environment Experience working with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) CFS is an EEO Employer of Females, Minorities, Veterans, Individuals with Disabilities
