Job Description

We are currently seeking a Management Associate- Account Representative in Processed Products to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will report to the Account Manager of Processed Products. The Account Representative of Processed Products is responsible for managing some of our network of toll processors and warehouses that extend the capabilities and capacity of U. S. Steel mills, in addition to providing just-in-time delivery to customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build Relationships with our Processors to negotiate and manage all costs associated with processors and warehousesMonitor processor capacity/loading and develop contingency plans as neededAssist with all transactional activities of the assigned processors which include:
Assembling quotes for pre-painting, blanking and cut-to-length as required whenever new business is being quotedManage expedites through processors to communicate with sales teams on status of ordersAssigning toll processors and/or warehouses to sales orders as required and working internally to determine most efficient standard and non-standard processing routingMaintaining work order instruction correctnessWork with accounting teams on processor scrap levels for accuracy
Assist with all administrative activities for assigned processors which include:
Maintaining the Authorized Processor/Warehouse List and Processor Profile, which includes key contacts, shutdown schedules, and receiving hoursEnsuring departmental compliance with all internal and external audits, and maintenance of U. S. Steel Quality Management SystemMonitor EDI transmission data integrity from processors and warehouses to U. S. Steel to ensure on-hand inventory is as accurate as possibleLearn U. S Steel internal systems and assist in training others as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field of study, Master's degree is a plusExperience in supply chain management, including demand planning, supply planning, production planning, production scheduling, inventory management, procurement, and logistics preferredMust be self-driven and motivated to work in a high pace environmentMust be detail-oriented and proactiveExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to be flexible with working in the Office and work from home schedules
