Description of Work
This position is located at Mountain Region Maintenance Satellite Office in Black Mountain, NC.
The primary purpose of this position is to independently perform a variety of clerical tasks associated with the administration and operation of the maintenance yard.
These include but are not limited to processing mail, receiving and directing requests for the services performed by the maintenance staff and in coordination with the main yard in Lenoir; understand and follow verbal instructions; ordering supplies and entering usage orders in NCFS, updating supervisor and yard management on status of materials and equipment, data entry into the computerized Maintenance Management System (MMS) and report generation for the maintenance work orders, reconciliation of time and materials to work purchase orders, receive and direct telephone inquiries and visitors to the appropriate person, track and request office equipment service contracts as required, track and monitor asset inventory assigned to the office, maintaining records and reports, updating and maintaining reference publications and manuals utilized by the maintenance staff and assist with other office functions as directed by supervisor. Must have experience using Microsoft Office, other business and/or accounting systems and maintain effective working relationship with others.
