Where you will work:The Lewiston mill is the largest of Clearwater Paper's facilities, producing both paperboard and tissue product, and boasting over 1200 talented employees. Approximately two hours away from Clearwater Paper's headquarters in Spokane, Washington, the Lewiston paper mill is a key component in Clearwater Paper's business strategy. Lewiston is in close proximity to the University of Idaho, Washington State University, and Lewis-Clark State College, as well as several strong K-12 school districts.What you will do:AdministrationSupport and assist corporate training program implementation.Coordinate training system data (UKG Learning)Maintain and update on-line training systems and recordsMonitor training results for information and costConduct surveys for feedback re: program effectivenessSchedule and coordinate training for new hires, job bids, and advancementsEnsure safety and OJT training records are completed in a timely mannerFollow site training policyEnsure completion and effectiveness of department on-boarding processTrack training for employees (i.e. SCBA, Fit Tests, Mobile Equipment)
AssessmentAssist department with review and update Centerlines, Standard Work, Log Sheets, etc.Audit and evaluated training systems regularly to verify program effectivenessMeet with trainees and trainers on consistent basis and provide updates to ManagementMeet with Supervisors at the beginning of each rotation to assess employee skill levels and training needs for rotationParticipate in new hire interview panels as requested by department management
DevelopmentEnsure appropriate training is reviewed, updated, conducted (i.e. SOP/JSA/WI, Qualcards, Assessment, etc)Assist PSM Specialist on PSM specific SOP/JSA/WI, Qualcards, Assessments, etc.Assist the annual selection and maintenance of refresher safety training in UKG for on-line trainingResearch and incorporate new technologies and training methods to ensure training effectivenessEnsure quality of training development and implementation of new systems, Qualcards, and assessments.Assist in development and implantation of training plan for all shiftsAssist crews as a trainer to allow other employees opportunity to train.Assist new hires in their transition from previous employment to safe Clearwater employeesEnsure that the right equipment and processes are in place for efficient operations.

What you will need:High School diploma or GED requiredMinimum 3 years manufacturing experience preferredMinimum 2 years training & development preferredProficient in MS office suite and willing to learn PI, Parcview, DeltaV, JDE, TkPro, Process MapConducting training needs assessmentsDesigning and developing training materialCourse delivery presentation skillsSHRM certification preferredLearning management system (LMS) experience preferredOrganizational skills and time managementStrong analytical and decision-makingHigh speed manufacturing environment, sustained exposure to high frequency noises, multiple hours standing, walking on concrete surfacesPersonal Protective Equipment required in mill environment.Dirt, noise, odor, and temperature extremes.Climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffoldingWork environment includes exposure to compressed air, steam, lubrication oil, dust, and hydraulic fluid.
