Newell is seeking a dynamic HRIS Sr. Manager to support the global HR systems landscape and leverage technological solutions to deliver a consumer-like employee digital experience. In this role, you will help to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment and lead the development of our global HR tech strategy as we look to optimize our HR digital landscape for our workforce. We are seeking a candidate who is highly motivated, collaborative with a deep understanding of leveraging HR technology solutions to support business and HR needs. You will be responsible for building and leading a global team of HRIS professionals while establishing and executing the HR digital enablement strategy that is consistent with Newell’s Values of Integrity, Teamwork, Passion for Winning, Ownership, and Leadership. The Senior Manager HRIS works with internal/external business partners (Total Rewards, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, IT, etc.) to define business requirements and translate business needs into multi-year & tactical system implementation plans, including project and product prioritization, scheduling, and resource planning.
Responsible for the partnership, coaching, and advising of HR COEs on the technical systems to support overall HR programs and delivery. Responsible for providing administration and configuration of HR technologies including:
Success Factors Suite of Modules
Dayforce Payroll and Workforce Management (Time and Attendance) system
Other HRIS systems such as Eightfold, job boards, and data feeds to other systems
Collaborate closely with the Digital Enablement and CoE leaders on the HR Technology Strategy and Roadmap
Requirements gathering and support for inbound/outbound interfaces for modules in scope
Requirement gathering and analysis for new requirements as programs mature/evolve
Creation and review of functional specifications including effort and schedule estimation, where applicable
Lead HRIS Security Design & Change Requests
Management of Upgrade/Migration paths for existing and new technologies
Management/Oversight of HR systems ticket support
Engages and manages third-party tool support as appropriate to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of COE programs
Drives program/project management including identifying and implementing change management and integration across HR and other key stakeholders for HR applications.
Master and maintain detailed knowledge of HRIS product-suite configuration options and remain knowledgeable on the latest HR technology solutions in the market
Maintain active partnership with the HR IT (SAP) organization to ensure priority alignment and manage interdependencies
Create standard and ad-hoc management reports for presentations to executives that support new program recommendations, training, or annual compensation administration.
Configuration of business requirements, Unit testing, and Quality Testing
Production system incident management
Co-ordination with vendors to apply quarterly releases in development, quality and production system
Lead day-to-day Vendor Management with support of CoE partners
Conduct training/change management to implement/roll out new functionalities.
Governs and controls effectively information management processes of sensitive and confidential employee and candidate data
Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems (or related) or directly related business experience
8+ years’ experience in the configuration and support of HR systems enabling HR COE delivery
5+ years’ experience with HRIS Talent, Compensation, Recruitment, Payroll, Time and Attendance or other equivalent HRIS systems
5+ years’ experience managing HR Enterprise Data Governance and Security
Strong track record supporting Reporting and Analytics in HRIS systems and/or analytics solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Visier etc)
Extensive experience with system integrations and APIs and partnering with technical teams to implement and support integrations and data connectors
Ability to work with senior-level leaders and business HR leaders collaboratively and effectively
Experience with change initiatives, process improvement, and/or simplification initiatives
Strong understanding of global HR processes and how they impact HR systems
