ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a SAFETY AGENT

Albert Hotel is located on a three-acre site from 242 to 248 East Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX. The hotel itself is tucked away from Main Street located behind the original historic buildings, creating a peaceful escape offering quiet sophistication just off bustling Main Street. The hotel has 110 guest rooms, including bunkrooms, suites, and a private house, and each room will have tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and little extras to make guests feel at home. The property has three restaurants, one bar, a private dining room, and will offer in-room dining. Guests can enjoy the inviting outdoor lagoon-style pool, a fitness center, and a 2,000 sq. foot full-service spa. The property is ideal for hosting events, with a 3,600 square-foot event space and a 1,200 square-foot mezzanine deck and event lawn.

JOB OVERVIEW

A Safety Agent is responsible for the overall safety of the hotel. This position ensures a safe and secureenvironment through observant patrolling and camera review. You are responsible for monitoring compliance ofpolicies and procedures and addressing any concerns effectively and diplomatically. You must be able to respond toemergencies, assist guests with safety and security needs, complete detailed, accurate reports, and coordinateefforts with local law enforcement, government service agencies, and hotel department managers.

What you'll do:Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instructionSecure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access pointsGreet all guests in close proximity and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcomeEnsure all paper and electronic logs are consistent, accurate, and up to dateAssist departmental managers in completing and processing incident reportingLead with hospitality to resolve and diffuse conflicts that may ariseKeep working area clean and free from obstructionsComplete departmental checklists as assignedLock event spaces and meeting rooms as directedLog and process all lost and found itemsReceive and log all shipmentsThoroughly communicate and relay all pertinent information to the oncoming shiftAttempt to limit issues and liability related to excessive drinking by having an awareness of signs of intoxication, and taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of our guestsEnsure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessaryEnsure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working conditionMaintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property and keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirementsEnsure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are metBe available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directedWho you are:

You have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).You have previous safety/security experience in the hospitality industry preferred.You have knowledge of local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the activities of safety personnel (including OSHA, Hazardous Communications, and Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control) preferred.You have CPR/AED/First Aid training certification preferred.You have a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously.You lead with hospitality and are able to diffuse and resolve issues diplomatically.You have sharp verbal and written communications skills with high attention to recalling details.You're excellent with time-management and can juggle projects in a fast-paced environment.You have a calm, but firm demeanor, enjoy helping others, and are driven to jump and help when issues arise.You're able to react appropriately in stressful situations while demonstrating integrity and professionalism.You are quick to think on your feet and see the big picture.BENEFITS
