Principal, Commercial Contracts
This role will serve on the team of strategic contract partners to the supplier business units (Travel Solutions) and will have the following responsibilities:
Drafting non-standard supplier agreements for the Air, Lodging, Ground, and Sea lines of business.
Lead deals teams and support sales organizations in the negotiation of supplier agreements.
Research for legal requests, including discovery requests.
Responds to contract interpretation questions and provides clear, concise, and thorough analysis.
Management of templates, policies, procedures, and various projects in support of the team’s strategic goals and needs.
Participate in deals teams and support sales organizations in negotiating supplier agreements.
Communicate and ensure adherence to Sabre audit and procedural processes.
Delivery of contracting services to the business units in compliance with agreed service levels.
This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Commercial Contracts.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Juris Doctor or equivalent a plus.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant contract drafting and negotiation experience.
Strong drafting skills, with the ability to turn routine, standard commercial concepts into contractual language.
Experience in a fast-paced, global organization. Able to function and perform at a high level with ambiguity in some cases.
Exceptional relationship building skills – ability to work effectively and have high impact working at all levels – upward/downward/laterally. Ability to work effectively with peers around the world and across multiple cross-functional departments (sales, finance, accounting, tax, audit).
Self-starter, flexible mindset, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
Demonstrates an enterprise mindset and ensures the team supports the needs of the broader business. Works openly and collaboratively.
Superior command of the English language, both written and spoken word.
Ability to understand and write language that is clear, concise, and conveys the intended meaning.
Ability to problem solve with words.
Ability to understand appropriate language to minimize risk.
Ability to work autonomously.
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Willingness to be flexible and take on a multitude of varying projects in addition to core responsibilities.
Strong focus on detail and ownership of results

Ability to see operational gaps, devise and implement processes to create greater organizational efficiencies.
