How is this Role Important to Our Work?The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by overseeing the preparation and review of financial transactions and statements. The Senior Accountant performs moderately complex reconciliations and manages month-end and year-end closing processes.A Day in the Life:Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.Prepare and/or review detailed journal entries.Prepare and record month-end accruals.Support the monthly general ledger close process.Perform moderately complex accounting reconciliations.Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary documentation in support of audits.Assist in quarterly balance sheet fluctuation reviews.Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.Provide recommendations for process improvements.Maintain and/or lead established moderately complex accounting projects as assigned by management.Assure policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with accounting and corporate policies.Nice to Have:Bachelor's degree.Heath insurance experienceSAP experienceRequired Skills and Experiences:5+ years of accounting experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.Strong written, oral and listening communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with complex Microsoft Excel workbooks and formulas.1Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Make A Difference
