We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. This role involves overseeing the general ledger, managing daily accounting operations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
Responsibilities
Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Utilize Sage Intacct to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
Experience with revenue recognition.
Experience with large portfolios and extensive documentation is a plus.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule. There is a team of three in the office, while the controller works remotely out of Montana.
