Within Customer Care, PG&E’s Customer Energy Solutions department (CES) is responsible for designing, implementing and administering customer demand side management programs, including energy efficiency, distributed generation, demand response, and rate programs that help PG&E customers in Northern and Central California manage the energy use of their homes and businesses. PG&E has been a national leader in energy efficiency since 1976 and continues to recruit and develop individuals to carry the CES Department’s legacy of effective energy efficiency programs on into the future.Within Low Income and Disadvantaged Communities department, the Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program helps income-qualified residential customers throughout PG&E’s service territory reduce energy consumption and costs while increasing their health, comfort, and safety. Qualified customers receive no-cost home weatherization, energy efficient appliances, and energy education services also referred to as program measures. Through this state-mandated program, PG&E has helped customers save over $54 million on their energy bills since 1983.Position SummaryThe Senior Program Manager (Sr. PM) will be responsible for managing the design and launch of new measures and managing current measures.
Measures include all technology families as well as energy education, which includes training customers on rates, My Account training, etc.
The Sr. PM will be responsible for launch readiness, which includes ensuring contractors are trained on new measures.This role will build relationships with other Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs) and industry partners, effectively interfacing with teams throughout the CES organization, including the Energy Training Center (ETC) and Pricing Products.
The person in this position should have experience running or managing energy programs or similar experience.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing energy savings, working with cross-functional teams, and demonstrate effective communication abilities. The Sr. PM role is expected to operate independently, manage complex initiatives, and accomplish program objectives with minimal coaching. The chosen candidate is also expected to have strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, the ability to inform and influence leadership decision making, and the ability to effectively work both in teams and individually.This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $102,000.00Bay Area Maximum: $162,000.00
