A recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and a member of the Preferred Hotel Group Lifestyle Collection, this 60-acre, tropical destination boasts 177 guestrooms and 250 twoand three-bedroom villas, a full-service marina, six restaurants, saltwater lagoon, five swimming pools, kid and teen clubs and spa.Overview:JOB SUMMARY:The Human Resourses Manager will work alongside company leadership and management to identify training needs and develop training processes, create and implement SOPs as they relate to HR, implement recruiting strategies, fill open positions to support company growth. This position will also be responsible to for handling employee relations issues and have oversight on our onboarding and HRIS. Will perform assorted administrative and project management tasks associated with Performance Management, Employee Engagement Surveys and Action Plans, Open Enrollment Periods, Recruitment, New Hire Orientation, Succession Planning, Organization and Development, etc.Qualifications:JOB DUTIES:1. Research, administer, organize, and conduct company training programs for all supervisory, lower-level management and hourly positions2. Develop, organize, and conduct new-hires orientation program ensuring thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, benefits and expectations3. Assist with employee relations events.4. Write material for new training programs. Review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed programs, recommend appropriate changes.5. Provide courses to stimulate and motivate employees.6. Develop a means of measuring and handle the effectiveness of training programs and orientation through testing, etc.7. Prepare and distribute training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids. Set up audiovisual equipment and make presentations.8. Work closely together with Recruiting Manager and assist with administrative duties for new hires.9. Monitor performance and provide training/feedback10. Provide support and guidance to the management teams on employee relations issues11. Responding to employee questions and concerns, initiating investigation into complaints, referring employees to alternate information sources when appropriate.12. Exemplify the Hawks Cay Resort culture by always conducting yourself in a confidential and professional way.13. Act as the liaison between the HR department and our employees, providing excellent service and hospitality to everyone on our team14. Serve as point of contact for employee concerns, complaints and maintain our policy against harassment in all locations15. Following established safety and security policies & procedures. Anticipate problems and ask for assistant as needed.16. Handle unemployment, workers comp, disability insurance issues17. To develop a routine schedule of inspections, maintenance and house cleaning for all units; ensure that the upkeep is completed on a timely basis.18. To report to the Director of Human Resources all repairs and maintenance required beyond the scope of the housing manager; submit work-order form to the Engineering Department and follow up on each.19. To conduct final inspections when employees leave, evaluate condition of unit, and determine deposit refunds as appropriate.20. To report immediately to the Director of Human Resources, or Manager-on-Duty, all violations of company and housing policies and to assist in the eviction of any tenants when necessary.21. Accountable for resort security procedures and security staff.22. Issue uniforms and maintain inventory. Ensure proper documentation is provided for payroll deductions.23. Assist with compliance including internal I9 audits, wage and hour laws24. Assist with various administrative and project management processes associated with engagement surveys, performance management, succession planning, etc.25. Assist with maintaining bulletin boards, intern events, upkeep and administration of employee staff housing26. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
