Overview

We are seeking a Debt Analyst to join our company. As a part of our Analyst Program, you will work in Bellwether's debt platform and will be responsible for supporting the asset management team in preserving and creating value in the existing portfolio. Our four-week robust training program provides instruction in financial modeling, fund-level reporting, underwriting debt investments, utilization of CRE software (e.g., Argus, Yardi, etc.) and more. You will also work alongside the investment team in the origination, underwriting and execution of real estate debt-related investment opportunities across various property types. Throughout the program, analysts play an integral role in supporting the team by maintaining complex financial analyses, evaluating monthly operating reports and interacting directly with sponsors through leasing calls. Analysts are dynamic team players with strong integrity and the ability to succeed in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across various property typesReview and analyze business plans, leasing activity and monthly property operating performancePerform market-level due diligenceMaintain detailed and complex asset-level cash flow reforecasting modelsOrganize investment level data on a monthly and quarterly reporting basisOnce fully proficient, oversee and train incoming analystsEvaluate and analyze potential new debt investments and assist with due diligence, underwriting and execution of said investmentsPerform additional ad-hoc analysis, as neededEducation & Experience

A bachelor's degree is requiredAdvanced financial modeling and analytical skillsAbility to read and analyze investment, lease, loan and management agreementsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteEssential Skills & Competencies

$100,000 - $100,000 a year

Base Salary $100,000, plus discretionary bonus.

Offered salary is based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
