Position Overview

Apollo Insurance Solutions Group (“AISG”) is searching for a Data Management Analyst to join its operations department. AISG is a rapidly growing investment advisor focused on managing investments for insurance and reinsurance company clients. AISG is currently responsible for managing over $200 billion in AUM across a broad spectrum of predominantly fixed income assets (including public and private corporate debt, MBS, commercial and residential mortgages, ABS, bank loans), as well as alternative investments, equities and derivatives.The Data Management Analyst is responsible for accurate, timely and complete set up of security attributes, issuer attributes and other data sets that support the investment, accounting and compliance processes within Apollo Insurance Solutions Group (“ISG”).The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for data governance and data quality, data-related processes and systems, and will demonstrate extensive experience working with similar financial services firms. Specifically, you will help to continue our journey to influence our data culture and establish best practices in our data evolution. You will support the successful transformation of our data governance, data quality, reporting and self-service capabilities.Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for accurate setup of Security Master File (SMF) in ISG trading and accounting systemsHelps maintain proprietary SMF “golden source” database and exception processing rulesMonitors end of day processing in ISG’s systems, ensuring the day’s SMF activity flows to downstream systemsReconciles SMF files across key systemsMaintains issuer lists for compliance testing and ensures accuracyTroubleshoots data submission errors and data error issuesProvide support for the SOC-1 (SSAE18) and SOX audit activitiesPerforms and documents procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, standardization and analysisEscalates issues in a timely manner to the Management TeamPerform special projects as neededAssists with ad hoc requests and provides coverage for functional responsibilities, as needed.Works closely with other areas within Investment OperationsQualifications & Experience

Two years + experience in a Data Management, BA, or IT role supporting a fixed income asset managerExperience with Fixed Income, Structured Products and Alternative Investments.Experience using common industry solutions such as State Street’s PAM for Investments, Bloomberg, Markit EDM, Markit think Folio.Understanding of asset management for insurance companies is a plusUnderstanding of SQL, database systems, and ETL toolsStrong knowledge of finance (P&L/NAV/etc.)Strong work ethic shows initiative and deep desire to learn and strengthen individual skill set.Ability to effectively prioritize workload. Someone who encourages continuous improvement.Must be detail oriented, organized, and can work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.Equal Opportunity Employer

94,500-115,000The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
