We are seeking a

Data Engineer

with 6+ years of experience to join ourteam in designing, implementing, and optimizing data architectures andpipelines. You will work closely with our Department of HomelandSecurity (DHS) client, particularly the Transportation SecurityAdministration (

TSA

), to build and manage data infrastructure thatsupports AI, machine learning, and automation initiatives aimed atenhancing operations, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.

We are seeking candidates with a mix of leadership, technical, andbusiness experience in mission-oriented environments. We are especiallylooking for candidates that have worked in DHS and have an activeEOD/DHS clearance.

This role will be responsible for supporting a wide range of projectactivities spanning business and technology environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and architectures thatsupport data-driven decision-making across AI and ML initiatives

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders toensure data availability, integrity, and quality

- Implement

ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

to integrate datafrom various sources into centralized systems

- Design and build scalable and reliable data architectures that supportAI/ML models

and advanced analytics

- Ensure data security and compliance with federal regulations,including managing sensitive and classified data

- Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure continuous data flow andresolve any data-related issues

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and integrate newdata sources and optimize data management practices

- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in dataengineering, cloud infrastructure, and big data processing

- Perform other related duties as required to support the mission.

Required Experience and Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, ComputerScience, Information Systems, or other related discipline from anaccredited college, university, or academic institution in the UnitedStates.

- Active DHS/EOD clearance (TSA preferred)

- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, including designing andimplementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architecture

- Proficiency in programming languages

(Python, R, or SQL

) for datamanipulation and processing

- Experience with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousingsolutions

- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Microsoft Azure)for data management and storage

- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and federal data privacyregulations

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with theability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and to explaintechnical concepts to non-technical users

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability toquickly grasp complex automation concepts

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a teamenvironment

- Attention to detail and capability to meet tight deadlines whiledelivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience working with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, orAirflow

- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) anddistributed systems

- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate) andtheir integration into data pipelines

- Experience working in environments requiring DHS Suitability Clearanceis highly preferred.
