Position: Senior Graphic Designer
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite 5 days per week)The American Structurepoint Marketing + Communications Group develops the strategies and tactics to promote American Structurepoint's services. It is our goal to deliver strategic marketing initiatives in support of American Structurepoint's mission and business growth objectives. In short, we make the company look good!We are looking for a self-motivated and out-of-the-box thinker working to conceptualize and design proposals, collateral, advertising, photography, web elements, and sales materials that creatively and consistently reflect the company's brand identity. You should have a broad understanding of design strategy methods and practices when it comes to formatting, layout, production for print, and digital media (including websites, interactive elements, and UI/UX).Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesCreative flair, originality, and a strong visual sense with an eye for detail
Strong conceptual thinker with excellent visual communication skillsProficiency in web design and front-end development principles, including responsive design, UI/UX best practices, and a working knowledge of web design and maintenance.Understanding of designing for digital platforms, including websites, mobile, social media, and email marketingStrong project management and organizational skills.Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.Formal training in graphic design or a related field.Superior time-management skills, creative problem-solving skills, and strong initiative to complete projects on time while handling multiple deadlines.Solid understanding of the printing and production process, as well as digital publishing and web development workflowsOpen and receptive to design critique but also able to represent their work and stand up for the design they believe in.Solid presentation, listening, and communication skills.Strong talent for all elements of design, layout, and typography with sharp attention to detailsAble to collaborate with other members of the Marketing + Communications Group, architects, and engineers, and effectively communicate their ideas and concepts through creative graphics.Able to problem solve and use various resources to find multiple design solutions, especially under narrow parameters or strict restraints.Demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and accountability.Responsibilities
Use current and future design trends while adhering to fundamental design principles, keeping up with the latest software and computer technologies.Collaborate closely with writers/proposal coordinators to transform content into visual graphics.Design layouts incorporating text, iconography, images, etc., to help deliver a desired message across print and digital platformsDesign and update website elements, landing pages, and ensure consistent brand experience across all digital touchpoints.Collaborate with the web development team to create wireframes and mockups, focusing on user experience and responsivenessPresent and articulate design concepts to internal clients and/or the graphic design managerIncorporate changes recommended by internal clients and/or marketing director into final designs.Review designs for errors before printing or publishing or launching on digital platforms.Assist in planning and directing photography needs.Mentor junior designers and offer design critiques/reviews of their work to ensure brand standards are followed and the right graphic messages are being conveyed.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, or a related field, or equivalent experienceFive-plus years working within a design firm or other creative team environment.Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite software, with a strong focus on InDesign, Photoshop, IllustratorExperience with web design tools such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe XD, Figma, or SketchProficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles; experience in WordPress is a must.Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.Industry knowledge is a plus.Preferred QualificationsExperience in using rendering software, such as Autodesk Civil 3D and 3DS Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Chaos Group Vray, GIS software, Syntheyes, Sketchup Pro.Understanding of architectural and engineering principles, construction methods, and building materials.Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately represent design concepts in 3D.Experience with virtual reality and augmented reality technologies is a plus.PortfolioA design portfolio demonstrating expertise in print and digital design is required.Only resumes that include a PDF portfolio or a link to an online portfolio will be considered.Please include website links and a brief description about your role in website development and its development platform.American Structurepoint is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
