Description of Work In this role, you will be primarily tasked with managing and facilitating the allocation of Federal Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) funding to achieve the objectives of the Great Lakes Program concerning policy and water quality. Your responsibilities will encompass the creation of policies and procedures that ensure effective funding distribution to local, state, and regional partners within the Lake Erie and Genesee River Basins. Additionally, you will provide guidance, training, and outreach to local government entities and non-governmental organizations. You will ensure the efficient and effective utilization of Federal GLRI funds by establishing priorities for water quality and environmental enhancement, fostering partnerships with local and regional project stakeholders, and leveraging additional state, local, and federal financial resources.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Erie. Occasional travel to GLRI meetings, project sites, and DEP Central Office as required. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of professional environmental protection experience; and a bachelor's degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of professional environmental protection experience.
Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.
