OverviewWe are looking for an Execitve Director of Finance to oversee all expense, budget, and accounts payables activities within the company. An ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills in a deadline-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Oversees reconciliations of monthly accounts payable, expense report, and forecasts/budgets
Analyze financial statements, forecast and budget data
Establishes and maintains the appropriate accounting documentation, systems, and internal controls, processes, and data
Ensure all financial information has been recorded accurately and timely into Oracle general ledger
Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation and any additional request they may have
Ensures departmental compliance with policies and procedures
Reviews lease accounting entries and reconciliation (ASC 842)
Prepares other financial reports or analyses, as required
Manage a team of 3 direct and 6 indirect reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
CPA or MBA is a plus
6+ years professional experience, preferably in insurance industry
Thorough understanding of budgetary and accounting principles (GAAP and Statutory), practices, and policies.
Expertise in Multi-Org Oracle Financials, General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Operating Expenses, Cash Management and Fixed Assets
Proven record of good judgment in solving problems and handling challenges
Ability and desire to work with technical and non-technical people
Proficient in Excel (pivot tables and Vlook ups)
Strong management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Oracle, Wings, and Excel4Apps is a plus
