As a Right of Way Agent in California, you are responsible for acquiring easements for infrastructure projects across California. The candidate will conduct negotiations with landowners. The candidate will work with the team from start to finish to ensure that all land acquisition is obtained to execute the project. Candidate will perform general administrative work to ensure easements are documented and reported accurately.

This is a REMOTE position, however, you will need to reside in the state of California, to be considered.

Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills;
Collaborating with landowners and the internal team to ensure easement aligns with company needs;
Negotiate and acquire easements from private property owners;
Competencies in conducting land rights research including understanding legal descriptions;
Create and maintain relationships with landowners to facilitate smooth ROW acquisition processes;
Prepare and maintain accurate records of ROW agreements, negotiations, and correspondence;
Strong Real Estate Acquisition experience and fundamental understanding of issues related to land acquisitions;
Serve as the property owner’s main contact throughout the project life;
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
Here's what you'll need
Minimum of two (2) years of Right of Way acquisition experience
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Valid California Driver’s License
Ability to understand ROW regulations.
Strong inter-personal relationship skills, and verbal and written communications skills.
Ideally, you'll also have:
Active California Real Estate License
Active California notary or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire

The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
