POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Controller is responsible for all financial reporting, forecasting, cash management, and adherence to company accounting policies for Cogir Management and its subsidiaries. The Assistant Controller reports to the Corporate Controller and Treasurer and is located in the Scottsdale, AZ, corporate office. The Assistant Controller oversees two Accounts Payable managers and one Corporate Accountant.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Cogir Management and its subsidiaries.Actively manage the close process to ensure the tasks for the month-end close are performed timely.Oversight of the Intercompany invoicing and vendor payments process.Manage the invoicing billback process for the managed communities for salaries, travel, and other expenses.Monitor, forecast, and report all cash flow activity daily and monthly.Prepare key dashboards, including revenue, travel, and salary billback summaries.Oversee the new vendor setup process and vendor statement reconciliations for Cogir Management.Other projects as assigned.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree in accounting is required.3 to 6 years of relevant managerial experience.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Experience with intercompany and multi-company accounting and consolidation.Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to drive collaboration and teamwork with others in the accounting departmentAdvanced Excel skills.
