We’re looking for a CFO to lead our financial and accounting operations and work directly with our Executive Leadership Team, guiding us through early-stage growth and expansion. This role is essential in building a sustainable financial foundation, ensuring fiscal discipline, and driving strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring experience in financial leadership within startups or high-growth environments, with a strong focus on scalability and adaptability.As our CFO, you’ll take a hands-on approach to managing the company’s financial and accounting functions, developing financial strategies, and building a framework for sustainable growth. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning our financial practices with our broader mission, leading budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with a startup’s agility in mind.What You Will Do:Lead all financial operations including overseeing accounting, reporting, and cash flow management to support rapid growth. Establish efficient financial processes and controls that can scale with the business.Provide strategic financial planning through developing flexible financial models, budgeting strategies, and cash flow projections to support long-term growth and align with organizational goals in close collaboration with the company’s CEO and founders.Identify capital requirements and manage relationships with investors and stakeholders to secure funding for growth initiatives as necessary.Implement and maintain policies to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate financial risks, and adapt as the company scales.Leverage technology to streamline financial operations, enhance reporting, and improve real-time data access for informed decision-making.Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities, assess costs, and support key business decisions that drive profitability and efficiency.Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to establish and monitor KPIs, identify new revenue streams, and evaluate business performance in real time.Create and refine processes to drive operational efficiency and optimize resource allocation across departments to support company growth.Assess potential acquisitions, partnerships, and other growth opportunities that align with the company’s strategic vision.Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team that adapts to the startups evolving needs and aligns with growth objectives.Provide transparent, regular financial reporting to the board and executive leadership, articulating financial health, risks, and growth strategies.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in business or accounting is required. CPA preferred.Experience in a start-up environment in professional and technology services is a definite asset.A minimum of 15 years’ progressive management experience, at least five years of which are at the executive leadership level. Experience in travel or membership-based organizations a plus.Experience working with large, publicly held companies.Proven track record of contributing to profitable growth of a business.Demonstrated ability to be successful in a very complex, quickly evolving, and rapid-paced organization.Proven ability to galvanize resources and to align teams to support the corporate vision and strategy.Technically strong in accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Knowledgeable and innovative in identifying opportunities for business improvements. Produces top quality, timely financial reports and well versed in internal controls and governance.Well versed in financial, business, and strategic planning as well as financial analysis.High energy, self-motivated, proactive, hands on, takes responsibility, and results oriented.Capacity to provide both strategic and operational leadership while building the organization.Comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple reports, priorities and meet deadlines.A reputable individual with high ethical standards and a longer-term business perspective.
