Baptist Health is looking for a Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our team in New Albany, IN
Under general direction, uses principles from clinical and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage and communicate data and information, in the clinical practice setting. Responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting. This includes data collection, workflow analysis, testing, training and support. Applies clinical knowledge to review system build for most efficient workflows and safety. Educates clinical staff on the use of the clinical systems using principles of adult learning. Works to optimize system use. The position will serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes. May manage and represent clinical users on small facility projects and assists in application deployment, support and enhancement requests for large projects.
Essential Duties:Applies clinical knowledge to review system build for most efficient workflows and safetyRounds on clinical users for support and feedbackUnderstands how to access downtime resourcesAdvocates for employee access to support their position utilizing electronic systems for documentation.Advocates for system wide standardization and developmentPromotes positive acceptance of applications and process changesMaintains and implements clinical systems for optimum performanceSupports clinical systems through new technologies, updates, releases and enhancementsProvides customer support 24/7 as scheduled. Research, tests, and documents issues identified by stakeholders. Collaborates with peers as needed for issue resolution. Escalates issues through appropriate channels as needed. Communicates resolution or delays to customer.Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Associate degreeThree years job related experienceMust have held a clinical professional license for at least 3 years
