Position for the Sales & Marketing Manager
Base $100-120K
General Position Summary/Job Purposes
This position is responsible for managing sales activities across two sections: (1) Functional Plastics and Retail (Section 707), and (2) Semiconductor Materials (Section 723). The Sales Manager will be expected to set and achieve significant annual sales objectives for both sections while ensuring overall performance meets corporate goals. Key duties include developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing the sales area efficiently, and overseeing the work of subordinates, including Sales Assistants. The role also involves preparing annual budgets, conducting quarterly and monthly sales reviews, and following instructions from superiors to ensure smooth operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Sales Management• Visit key clients to enhance sales and to achieve corporate goals based on strategic business plans.• Business development and to execute short / mid / long-term business plans.• Give suggestions and find solid business models that will generate future revenues.• Set business objectives and develop organizational procedures.• Analyze and evaluate sales trends, operating efficiency, product presentations, and best practices in order to maximize profit.• Compare and analyze the actuals for each month against the plan and give suggestions to superiors and to management in order to achieve the established goals.• Ensure to comply and to follow Federal and State regulations/laws as well as company policies at all times.• Collaborate with personnel in other departments to align sales strategies with product development and promotions.• Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to upper management.• Identify new market opportunities and ensure strategies are in place to capture them.
Ø Sales Coordination/Customer Service• Contact customers and prospective customers by phone, email and in person regularly.• Develop and maintain good relationship with customers.• Ensure the credit of all customers, provide price quotations, proposals and credit terms to current and prospective customers by collecting pre-approval from Dept. Manager and Branch Manager.• Responsible for collection of payments.• Responsible for inventory of products and maintaining the inventory at an adequate level.• Responsible for receiving and confirming orders.• Give appropriate instructions to subordinate, Sales Assistant to enable entering sales and profit data accurately and timely.• Stay involved and work closely with team members and customers to ensure smooth completion.
Ø Other & Miscellaneous• Seek constant improvement, more efficient and less costly ways and means in work processes.• Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Management.• Maintain high ethical standards in the workplace.• Report all irregular issues and problems to management for early solution.• Maintain good communication with management, office team members and outside contacts.• Comply with Federal and State laws and regulations.• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Ø Other & Miscellaneous: Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four year College or technical school / or equivalent
Ø Work Experience: Related experience of more than three years
Ø Certificate/License: English (Business Level) / Japanese (Business Level) is required
Working conditions
Ø Working hour is 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday at office & telecommuting once per week.
Ø Telecommuting arrangement is not cumulative and telecommuting more than once a week is not permitted.
Physical requirements
Ø Following travel and driving requirements are required: Local travel, Domestic Overnight travel, International Travel
Ø Motor vehicle driving / Observe speed limits and obey all road signs, as well as keep driving records.
