Job Summary

This position reports to the Senior Communications and Digital Marketing Manager, collaborates with all members of the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) department, and is responsible for supporting the firm’s client and internal communications efforts. This role requires strong project management skills, writing abilities, experience working with multiple stakeholders, and knowledge of the legal industry. Ideal candidates will understand how to craft audience-friendly visual and written content for use across social and other platforms and develop reporting on engagement. Knowledge of e-marketing communications applications/systems a plus. This role will work closely with our attorneys to develop/manage/produce podcasts and videos, work with executive leadership to develop campaigns highlighting the firm culture, support graphic design to be used in our digital promotions, and support our brand campaigns/promotions. Depending on location, the role may also liaise with a subset of regional offices as their contact person for team services.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate the firm’s social media efforts and explore new ways to engage followers on our chosen platforms.Per marketing and business development needs and priorities, develop communications for our business units, industry teams, and internal stakeholders.Support production, promotion, and ongoing development of all podcast and video offerings.Maintain graphic design protocols and elements used in our digital promotions, sponsorships, and advertising. Help fulfill related requests internally or with outside designers.Collaborate with Communications and Digital Marketing Manager and Content Marketing Specialist to develop an editorial calendar and timeline and facilitate frequent and regular audits of existing materials to ensure that data is consistently updated.Work with Communications and Digital Marketing Manager and MBD leadership to align content with strategic opportunities/messaging.Facilitate and manage special projects as requested.In coordination with the Communications and Digital Marketing Manager, explore effective and efficient ways to deliver firm updates and information through creative use of technology including email, weblogs, the firm website, the firm intranet and social media, offering suggestions, alternatives, and cost-analysis of delivery methods.

Primary Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of relevant communications experience in a professional services organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred.A proven track record with of experience in social media management or a marketing/communications position is required.Must be an excellent writer and communicator with the ability to identify marketing opportunities in a wide variety of areas to enhance the business opportunities and visibility of the Firm and all aspects of the firm’s internal and external communications.Demonstrate superior diplomatic abilities in obtaining and processing information—possibly of a proprietary nature—from all levels of firm attorneys and staff.Computer proficient with excellent technological skills. Social media experience and email marketing a plus.Ability to understand and support firm goals, services, culture, and strategy in order to represent the firm in a positive, professional manner.Ability to identify, define, and analyze issues and problems and to recommend and implement solutions.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with diplomacy, efficiently follow written and verbal instructions, provide information and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of attorneys, clients, staff, and outside contacts.Proactive with excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, and follow-through skills. Exhibit high degree of initiative and critical thinking skills in exercising independent judgment in order to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detailed-oriented work environment.Excellent analytical and technical skills requiring an aptitude for detail, precision, and logic in order to conduct detailed analysis, development, and implementation of local and national marketing communications initiatives and marketing and communications collateral development.Excellent organizational skills including record keeping, data collection, and system information. Ability to compile and analyze complex data and furnish concise, detailed information in report format, written correspondence, email, or verbally.

The salary range at the time of posting is $60,000-65,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
