The company is driving circular construction as a world leader in recycling to build more with less.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage Integration Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager for Carbon Capture Projects at Holcim North America. The responsibilities include providing technical support for scoping, pre-FEED, and FEED studies related to Decarbonization activities, with a focus on carbon capture projects. This role will serve as a technical leader and specialist on various cement plant integration topics, including water treatment, cooling technologies, pretreatment of flue gas, and utility upgrades. The CCUS Integration Manager leads integration and value-engineering studies necessary to support site-specific carbon capture projects at different stages of progress in different countries and working with different consulting firms. He/she should be capable of handling a wide range of technical topics, including cooling technology, plant interface, utilities (power, water, and gas), technology selection, gas pretreatment and plant infrastructure.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING● Plans, supports, and coordinates engineering activities and assists regional business units in preparing documentation for carbon capture projects to secure investment decisions.● Leads and interfaces with experienced & multi-disciplinary engineering firms, suppliers, and operations and internal specialist functions to develop optimal project solutions in terms of design, layout, lean technical concepts, ease of construction, support, and in line with operational performance and group standards.● Keep learning and developing specific skills in water treatment and cooling technologies by proposing innovative technical concepts, applying innovative engineering approaches, solutions, and tools, and staying in touch with industry development trends and best practices.● Assess the cement plant's current utility system and propose the best technical and economical solution tailored to the site for future upgrades.● Identify and address risks and opportunities in technical and commercial project development to ensure maximum value creation for Holcim.● Manage the interface between engineering, process engineering, plant personnel, procurement, and contracts for the project.● Ensure that the engineering work on the project is completed on schedule and budget, meeting Holcim's quality standards, including review meetings, project management procedures, and predefined deliverables.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREducation: Bachelor's degreeAdditional Education Preferred: Master's degreeField of Study Preferred: industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineeringRequired Work Experience: Proven engineering coordination experience in petrochemical, cement, or similar heavy industries with a minimum of 10 years in industrial engineering-related fields.Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to cement plants or consulting firm offices in the US and Canada as required to provide proper project support.
