Director, HR Business Partner - Restaurant Field Operations

As a member of the Inspire Human Resources Leadership team, the Director, Human Resources Business Partner role will work with the assigned Brand Leadership team to align People Strategies to ensure culture and team member engagement are focused on delivering an outstanding end-to-end team member experience. The Director, HRBP will lead a team of HR professionals to implement and execute these strategies at the field level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide strategic business partnership to Brand Leadership focusing on performance management, employee relations, leadership development, talent management, succession planning, culture, team member engagement and conflict management.
Provide guidance and leadership to a group of HR professionals including hiring, training, performance management and development of the team to meet company goals.
Partner directly with Leadership, Human Resources, and Legal on recommendations to resolve inquiries, concerns, and investigations on escalated matters in line with our company values and employment law.
Review Employee Relations Cases to ensure compliance and consistency; provide coaching where applicable.
Design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic planning, action plans, change management, and team building in partnership with the Brand Senior Vice President.
Develop programs to increase employee engagement, provide change leadership, talent development, career & succession planning, retention, and support process improvements.
Partner with Brand Senior Vice President in team member engagement initiatives; survey participation, analyzing data gathered, delivering feedback and developing/implementing action plans.
Serve as subject matter expert on complex issues and appropriately escalate matters.
Partner with other HR Leaders and cross-functional teams across the shared services Human Resources department, on communications, projects, and best practices to drive organizational goals and objectives.
Establish process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness for HR programs and business partners.
Stay current and knowledgeable of all local, state and federal employment laws. Communicate and implement changes in process, procedure, and policy as laws change.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
Preferred: PHR or SPHR Certification.
Valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
10 years of employee relations or other related experience.
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency.
Experience in multi-state, multi-unit operations in restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry.
Preferred: merger, acquisition and/or divestiture experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:
Displays subject matter expertise in federal and state labor and workplace laws.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of employee relations, talent review, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement, coaching, and counseling.
Displays excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
Displays strength in planning, organizing, and prioritizing to deliver results and complete assignments within deadlines, with a limited amount of direct supervision, and oftentimes managing multiple priorities.

Travel Required: Up to 50%
