JMT, is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.JMT is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for transit/multi-discipline engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.Manage transit/multi-discipline projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing toolsDevelop construction cost estimatesAssist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and constructionPrepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimatesManage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplinesDevelop extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposalsPrepare proposals as requiredAttend meetings with clientsCoordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established qualityNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft OfficeWritten and communication skills
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program10-15 years’ experience in transit/multi-discipline projectsProfessional Engineer LicenseExperience working with state and federal levelWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
