Job Summary:
The Director of Colocation Sales drives sustainable revenue growth by developing and executing innovative colocation data center sales strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives. This role leads the colocation sales efforts to exceed targets, establish best-in-class processes, and ensure operational excellence. Collaborating with senior leadership, this position defines strategic goals, identifies market opportunities, and builds strong client and vendor relationships that ensure long-term success and competitive advantage.Key Responsibilities:
Train, mentor, develop, and motivate the colocation sales team to achieve optimal performance.Establish and communicate clear sales goals, quotas, and performance expectations for colocation team's sales personnel.Oversee client account assignments to ensure personalized attention and an exceptional customer service experience.Drive new colocation client acquisition.Develop framework for colocation team and local colocation AMs to work in tandem to manage colocation accounts.Ensure colocation sales team collaborates closely with National Accounts and hyperscale End User Account Managers to create a winning strategy to engage with all stakeholders and decision-makers and influencers.Develop, implement and manage strategy for internal stakeholders including AM's representing End Users, GC's and the local colocation AM's where applicable to ensure all are working congruently to win the opportunity and own the colocation and clients.Work with VP of Sales and Marketing to develop and manage the sales split for AMs to drive maximum coverage and efficient opportunity pursuit and management.Retain top performers and build an innovative colocation sales team while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.Ensure accountability for adherence to sales and marketing processes and procedures.Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing timely reporting and insights to senior leadership.Develop and execute a colocation data center marketing strategy that supports sales efforts and aligns with company goals and vision.Collaborate with operations management to drive accuracy in budgeting and forecasting, ensuring sound financial projections.Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, continuously researching and communicating market trends to the organization.Partner with procurement to strategically position opportunities during the pre-construction phase of projects.Participate in bid reviews, providing insight into market positioning and identifying risks and opportunities during the proposal process.Build and maintain strategic partnerships with clients and vendors to create a competitive market advantage and improve efficiency.Collaborate with Operations and Pre-Construction teams to ensure competitive pricing, accuracy, and profitability during the bidding stage.Work closely with senior leaders to align efforts with company objectives and support organizational goals.Qualifications

Adaptable and resilient, able to lead in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Ability to travel to operational locations as needed.Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred. 15+ years of experience in a large organization's sales, marketing, or construction operations. Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and leading high-performing teams. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Minimum Years of Experience:
