Certified Payroll Specialist . The Certified Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of union and contract payroll processing for Allied Universal Technology Services, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll cycles, and maintaining compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.Responsibilities:Payroll Processing:

Evaluates and submits all Certified Payroll through Company tracking tool to ensure compliance with labor laws and payroll regulations.Review and report hours for the weekly, bi-weekly and union payroll cycles for approximately 1,100 employees.Review, process, submit, and log all payroll adjustments, employee direct deposit changes, tax changes, payroll corrections for hourly employees, and new hire set-up in the payroll system.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure timely resolution of labor compliance discrepancies to avoid payroll or reporting penalties.Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws and meet payroll audit standards.Review project contracts to confirm Certified Payroll processes meet contractual requirements.

Employee Support:

Address inquiries and concerns related to payroll, including pay discrepancies and deductions.

Process Improvement:

Identify and suggest enhancements to streamline payroll procedures.

Qualifications:Must possess one of the following:Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll.High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in payroll.Certified Payroll ExperienceIn-depth knowledge of California prevailing wage laws and federal payroll regulationsProficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Proven ability to maintain correspondence with strict discretion.Preferred Qualifications:SAP experienceAdvanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldRelevant Payroll or Compensation certificationsBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.Enrollment in our company's 401(k) plan.Paid holidays, sick days, and personal days.Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 hourly#LI-IM1Closing:Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
