ESRT’s flagship Empire State Building – the “World’s Most Famous Building” – includes its Observatory, the #1 attraction in the U.S. in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best for two consecutive years.Position SummaryESRT is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner with a proven track record of sourcing talent across teams including marketing, public relations and digital, accounting, information technology, project management, property management, leasing, legal, sustainability, travel and tourism, financial planning and analysis, investments and acquisitions, administrative support, office services, human resources, and college interns as needed. The Talent Acquisition Partner will work closely with the VP of HR and HR Director to strategize on the hiring roadmap.ResponsibilitiesRecruitment
Manage the full cycle recruiting process from: intake meeting with hiring manager and HR, job description development, job posting, outreach, applicant tracking, screening, interview scheduling with managers, reference checks, offer negotiation, and preboarding.Source potential candidates through online channels (i.e., LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, Handshake) and identify opportunities to utilize other channels; grow internal referral program.Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System, (currently ADP).Proactively establish and maintain partnerships with hiring managers to determine business needs, define the ideal candidate profile, and craft a comprehensive hiring strategy.Continually identify strategies and creative opportunities to attract, onboard, develop and retain key talent.Partner with social media team to develop social media employment brand strategy tied to an employee value proposition.Identify and implement assessment of best practices with interview techniques and candidate selection.Maintain relationships with multiple account executives and third-party agencies when necessary and negotiate recruiting cost.Be a brand ambassador and a culture carrier for ESRT.Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events as needed.Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department to create recruitment strategy.Foster long-term relationships with past applicants, potential candidates, and hiring managers to grow ESRT network.
Preboarding and Onboarding
Collaborate with the HR team and hiring managers to develop a best-in-class preboarding program for new hires.Partner with HR Coordinators to ensure seamless transition from preboarding to onboarding.
Administrative
In partnership with HR Coordinators, maintain current job descriptions and ensure all documents are up to date.Assist with union and corporate onboarding and recruitment training administration as needed.Manage sensitive and confidential matters like organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.Assist in various ad-hoc projects as needed.
Required Skills/AbilitiesHands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and methods.Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently with minimal direction.Strong experience in sourcing passive candidates.Experience with ATS to support effective hiring and building a talent community – ADP experience preferred.Ability to support multiple hiring managers with different functional areas and demonstrate effective communication skills.Familiarity with sourcing strategies and employer branding solutions (i.e. LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, Handshake).Ability to implement, execute, and communicate SOPs and best practices to enhance hiring processes.Experience with diverse recruiting strategies preferred.Working understanding of Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.At least 4 years of experience in HR/People Operations with 2+ years recruiting.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.What You Can ExpectAt ESRT, like our tenants, our employees come from everywhere.
