Key Responsibilities:
Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Aircraft Health Monitoring (AHM) team plays a vital role in improving the timely and completion performance of United's network by turning unexpected aircraft system failures into scheduled maintenance. The Senior Analyst provides troubleshooting expertise and mentorship to field technicians on complex aircraft issues by responding to fault messages, researching, and analyzing sensor data, and/or maintenance log page history for United's mainline fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The Senior Analyst leverages OEM, third party and United software to build maintenance work orders and develop fix-plans that resolve aircraft defects before they occur. The role also interfaces with maintenance technicians for chronic and in depth troubleshooting and system recovery. Once the Integrated Aircraft Health Management (IAHM) program is implemented, this role will also be responsible for managing systems and actioning any alerts with the intent of taking maintenance program credit.
Responsible for day-to-day identification, management, and execution of aircraft readiness status through continuous evaluation of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance alerting, system operational trends and repair needs
Oversee systems and parameters approved for IAHM to make aircraft airworthiness determinations that provide economic efficiencies while maintaining or improving operational safety.
Assist Station Maintenance Technicians (either direct or remote) by crafting in-depth, accurate and complete troubleshooting work orders, detailing repair plans by securing resources, including maintenance manuals, parts, tooling, ground time, and labor hours required.
Liaison with Tactical Fleet Managers, Line Maintenance Stations, Maintenance Control, Line Planning, and leadership teams on daily operational calls to ensure a proven recovery plan is in place for high priority, critical aircraft system operation prior to incurring a service interruption.
Supervises the operational lifecycle of AHM log pages and communicates findings to AHM team, Predictive Maintenance Engineers, and Reliability Engineers on top causes of mechanical delays and cancellations for each fleet type to identify new predictive model opportunities.
Track corrective actions performed by line maintenance on AHM work orders for final fix or recommend further troubleshooting requirements.
Routinely audits AHM work orders to identify when alerting criteria or work order adjustments should be made to improve operational reliability of United’s fleets.
Responsible for training and oversight of new AHM team members on best practices in researching, utilizing, and leveraging OEM, Third Party and United internally developed alerting data, and trending software applications.

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
5+ years’ experience in aircraft systems maintenance troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of United Aircraft manuals systems
Ability to read wiring diagrams and aircraft system schematics.
Background in Microsoft office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to work alone without supervision and in groups.
Time Management skills
Ability to work all shifts (Days or Nights), 12hr days, weekdays, weekends, and Holidays.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
