The internship program will allow for interaction with other interns and Meijer senior leaders.The internship program includes:Challenging and impactful projectsFinal presentations delivered to senior executivesExecutive speaker seriesProfessional development and training opportunitiesNetworking and community events to drive engagementEvents highlighting key areas of the businessWhat you will be doing as a Store Support Intern:The Meijer Store Support Internship Program will provide college students with a well-rounded retail educational experience providing an opportunity for an Intern to lead a project impacting the customer or Team Member experience.At the end of the Store Support Internship Program, students will be able to:Develop competencies in key areas of research, leadership and presentation skillsHave a clear and concise understanding of store support operationsThe intern may also get exposure to other activities of the function, including:Store OperationsStore Support TrainingStore FulfillmentQualifications:The Meijer Store Support Internship Program is an experiential education program designed for students currently enrolled in an academic degree program, who are considering future careers in this exciting field.Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, or related fieldPrior experience in Retail or customer service strongly preferredPast leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities preferredPassion for Retail or Customer Service and a desire to enter a career supporting retail storesDrive for results - is action oriented and has focus on the financial impact of their projectsCustomer focus - dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customersDigital mindset - experience with digital devices, applications, and analytics to access and manage informationRelationship Skills - can create positive working relationships with team members, leadership, and other internal and external constituenciesCommunication Skills - conveys the right information in writing and verballyPossible career path opportunities:Store Training SpecialistStore Support SpecialistDigital Analytics Store Specialist
