Effectively communicate & project manage in a fast-paced legal environmentDevelop knowledge in the history & evolution of corporate compliance programsLearn how to design & evaluate a modern corporate compliance programConduct research and provide recommendations regarding the latest government enforcement trends in an emerging legal area – responsible sourcingConduct risk-based analysis of dataGain executive-level presentation skills and present in an internal meetingLearn the specialized skillset needed to become a compliance professional - including the art of building business relationships and providing strategic adviceQualifications:Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, management, or a related fieldA very high level of internal integrityExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent reading and research skillsIndependent thinker, with strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills – ability to thrive working in gray areasSelf-starter, able to manage ambiguity and possessing courage to try new thingsCapable of building new relationships and possessing emotional intelligenceComfort in a corporate environment, including being amongst senior business executivesDedicated to exceeding customer expectationsA passion to competeMicrosoft Office experience, with the flexibility and desire to learn additional technology skills for using varied systems and toolsMeijer is an Equal Opportunity Employer, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
