Final Quality Inspector for 2nd shift

*OT may be required as neededHi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening.Essential Duties and TasksReporting to the Shift Supervisor, the operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that he or she will be trained and certified to run. In addition, operators load/unload parts to fulfil production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specificationsVerifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications visually and using hard gauge precision measuring tools such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometersInterpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as requiredPerforms final inspection on parts as requiredVerifies the proper completion of paperworkCheck status of non-conformances and processes them accordinglyDocuments actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP systemPerform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditationMaintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPEAccomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and ManagementDependability, integrity, cooperation and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are criticalAbility to operate autonomously and self-directAlways take ownership and be accountable for your actionsReliable attendance and a respectful demeanor are necessaryAny other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s valuesEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person2+ years of prior experience with final inspections of aerospace / gas turbine components requiredExperience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plusExperience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferredKey CompetenciesThe ability to work efficiently with others or independently as requiredIntegrity and conscientiousness in all work-related mattersSafety conscious alwaysReliable attendance within acceptable standards of attendance policyComplex problem solving with critical math skillsMust be able to follow verbal and written instructions in EnglishMust be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in EnglishPhysical Demand LevelsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with ability to pass annual vision test as requiredLift, push and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularlyOperate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessaryStand at least 50% of scheduled shiftWalking or sitting as needed to perform job duties as assignedRoutinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materialsThis job description is a tool to be followed.
