Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC), has an immediate need for a Sr. Cloud System Engineer to provide engineering design support for the migration of MSC’s NOC to the Navy Flank Speed Cloud Mission Owner Environment. Primary responsibilities include:Advise on best practices for the implementation of Cloud components, tools, dashboards, and automationWork with a team of SMEs to develop architecture and design drawings for migration effortTechnical Lead for all other engineers for the cloud migration effortInteract with external partners and agencies to engineer interconnections between different enclavesProvide input into project schedule developmentAssist other SMEs in the preparation of Installation guides for an enterprise environmentJob Requirements
Extensive experience leading or consulting on Azure cloud migrationsMust have experience with Azure IL-5 and IL-6 compliant environmentsExperience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and how-to guidesExperience with systems interacting with NIPRNet and SIPRNetMust possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01MMust have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01MMust have or be able to obtain within 2 weeks of hire, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.Preferred - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certificationProgressive IT experience (9 years) including at least five (5) projects in technical areas included in this job descriptionExperience working with Navy customers preferredSecurity Clearance
