We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer to join the Bonnell Aluminum (Niles) team. We are a vertically integrated aluminum extrusion company with a dedicated fabrication department. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills to lead and manage departmental and plant-level projects from conception through completion. This position requires a thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, a working knowledge of the extrusion processes, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project success.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Oversee all phases of project development, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Provide oversight of vendors and contractors as needed for specific projects.Engineering Expertise: Apply engineering principles to design, develop, and improve extrusion and fabrication processes.Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and fabricators, to achieve project objectives.Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and meeting financial targets.Timeline Management: Create detailed project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.Make recommendations for improvements to equipment and operating procedures to improve productivity.Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure all products meet industry standards and client specifications.Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and technical specifications.Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process enhancements.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
