Family Law Attorney

Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Responsibilities: • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • We need an attorney who can contribute to developing the strategy of a case and who knows where to find the rules of procedure to back up that case strategy • We need an attorney who knows how to find your way around the courtroom and how to project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of clients • If you see a case file as an opportunity to help someone build a new life, you’ll like the way we think • Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations Qualifications: • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Previous family law experience is highly desired - previous litigation experience required • Experience in estate planning and probate is highly desired • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience • Seasoned Family Law Attorney applicants are highly desired Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 yearly

Compensation:$120,000-$170,000 per year
