Job Summary:The Construction Superintendent will manage and supervise all on-site construction activities for projects undertaken by DL Meacham. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the successful execution of construction projects from start to finish. The Superintendent will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily construction activities, including coordination of trades, equipment, and materials.Ensure projects are completed according to contract specifications, timelines, and budgets.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to comply with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.Conduct safety meetings and ensure all workers are properly trained in safety protocols.Address and rectify any safety hazards or non-compliance issues on site.Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.Facilitate effective communication to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.Prepare and submit daily reports on site activities, progress, and any issues that arise.Monitor work quality to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.Address and rectify any deficiencies or non-conformities in work.Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.Coordinate with project managers to plan and sequence construction activities.Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.Oversee the use and maintenance of construction equipment and materials.Manage labor resources, including scheduling, supervising, and resolving any personnel issues.Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and incidents.Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, including any potential risks or delays.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision or a related field. Experience with commercial construction is preferred.Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to oversee construction projects and meet project deadlines.Strong leadership and organizational abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong knowledge of construction principles, methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on architectural detailing and finishes.Thorough understanding of architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
