About the Opportunity:This is an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join a National Real Estate Company with commercial, office, and residential assets. The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This is a full-time, in-person role, to be held at the companys main office in Great Neck (Nassau County), New York.Role & Responsibilities:Recruits, interviews, hires all staff, and trains new staff within the HR departmentOversees the daily workflow of the HR departmentProvides constructive and timely performance evaluationsHandles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policyAssist with Corporate payroll processing for new hires, existing staff, and terminationsPartners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planningProvides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminationsManages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openingsAnalyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talentCreates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employeesOversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications & Education Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systemsExperience with Payroll processing and payroll softwareBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredA minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferredSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desiredPlease send your salary requirements.
