Description and Requirements

The Software Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of software offerings, creating the go-to-market plan including product assortment, price, placement and promotional strategy, and will be ultimately accountable for driving software sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ecommerce best practices, consumer behavior, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Product Marketing (Go-to-Market) Strategy

4P Strategy (Product Offer Assortment, Price, Placement, Promotion) for web, direct seller and retail routes to market.

Pricing Strategy:

Develop and implement pricing strategies for software products to maximize profitability and market share.

Monitor competitor product assortment and pricing trends to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.

Conduct regular pricing analysis and provide recommendations for adjustments.

Promotions and Offers:

Define Marketing priorities/offers/promotions for incorporation into Marketing Demand Gen.

Analyze the effectiveness of promotions and adjust strategies to optimize performance.

Product Assortment:

Optimize the product assortment to meet customer demand and maximize sales.

Work with the product development team to identify new product opportunities and ensure timely product launches.

Conduct regular assortment reviews to ensure a competitive and appealing product range.

Business Performance / KPI's / Reporting

Monitor sales performance and key metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Model Revenue Projections, Set Targets, and report on key performance drivers.

Partner & Category Management:

Manage software partner onboarding, business reviews, opportunity development.

Manage MDF funded Marketing programs, quarter close and POE with Vendors

Create effective sales enablement strategies in collaboration with 3rd Party Software Partners (SPIFF, Sales Aids, Training)

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and customer service.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align on strategies and objectives.

Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to strategic planning sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in technology marketing, ecommerce, merchandising, pricing, partner development or a related role.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.

Proficiency in ecommerce platforms, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA degree

Knowledge of the security software space is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of the software industry is a plus.
