Summary About the Position: Join us at the United States Southern Command. We provide direct support to a four-star unified Combatant Commander, but are compact enough that our staff also works with senior leadership representatives of our inter-service, inter-agency and (public and private) international partner organizations. Our contribution to furthering our country's relationships with South and Central American nations and peoples are substantial. Responsibilities Interpret policy and associated program and strategic guidance, directives and regulations. Serve as the command's advisor for Counter-narcotics (CN) and Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) programs and their supporting funds. Coordinate and submit budget estimates, spend plans, and prepares reports associated with program execution, both current and historical. Oversee the application of internal control regulations and procedures to assigned CN/CTOC programs and activities. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience serving as an advisor on planning and resource execution matters relating to Counter-narcotics (CN) and Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) requirements; Interpreting policies, programs, directives and regulations in reference to CN and CTOC; Evaluating cost and performance data, develops trends and usage factors, and forecasts financial sustainment cost. Monitoring fund status on a daily basis during periods of constrained funds to include Directing and participating in the formulation of the CN/CTOC program budget execution plan.
