Job Description

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

What You Will Do With JT4

The Software Development Tester II will test and interpret telemetry data, develop automated testing scripts and programs, create andanalyze post-test reports, and develop and execute integration tests that adhere to government regulations.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND POSITION FUNCTIONS

Solid coding proficiency in C++, Python, and Linux shellAssist in the design of system/software and associated design documentation, participate in design reviews, plan execute, unit, integration, and system testingInterpret customer requirements and create milestone presentationsAdvise team on technical issues, develop and analyze the most appropriate approach to solve technical problemsAssist in maintenance and sustainment activities of system/software and appropriately document the design implementationExpertise in using automated testing frameworks such as, QT Test, Google Test, or similarPerform other job-related duties, as requiredDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

DevOps tools and DoD documentation standards using Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo, GitLab, Jama, or similarjs JavaScript based development frameworks such as React, Vue, Electron, Svelte, JavaScript or similarTest frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Mocha, WebdriverIO or similarREQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and either 2 years of related experience or a master's degree in an associated discipline are required for this position.

In addition, a Computer Scientist II must possess the following qualifications:

Experience with computer-based systems and applicationsProgramming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasksFamiliarity with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniquesFamiliarity with systems engineering and software development lifecyclesEffective verbal and written communication skillsGood planning/organizational skillsAbility to work under deadlinesThe incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $128,960 to $135,200 annually.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
