Duties
A senior duty manager assists supervisor in the accomplishment of work by other duty managers and evaluates security related activities for security operations. Assist manager by insuring adequate staffing of operations with personnel and the protection of users. Carries out work in accordance with policies, regulations, directives, and requirements. Inspects facilities and reports on results. Exercises judgment on routine matters where discretion is permitted. Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services. Supports the management team in decision making and responding to concerns of guests and users. Leads staff as required in the performance of their duties by providing coaching, directing, mentoring, training, monitoring and evaluating. Distributes and balances workload and tasks among staff in accordance with established work flows, skill level and/or occupational specialization, making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks and ensuring that each staff member has an integral role in developing a final team product. Reports on the status of progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the manager's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met. Keeps manager informed of events or items of significance,. Enforces and carries out policy and requirements. Responsible for the safeguarding and protection of funds, property and personnel. Attends and or arranges for the conduct of security and emergency response training.Monitors and recommends scheduling for approval and leave requests. Approves leave in emergency leave as delegated by management. Resolves simple and informal complaints and refers others to management. Represents the team consensus and conveys the team findings and recommendations in meetings. May be required to help plan, conduct, publicize and arrange support for a variety of events and related functions.As duty manager, performs security checks and makes adjustments based on security functions and as a security office responsible for the well-being of guests of the facility. Responds to emergencies and administers first aid as required. Maintains daily logs and records as required.

Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation.
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and various hours of the day and week when required.
Qualifications
Twelve months of related work experience in security or education directly related to the duties to be performed. Must have a current AED, CPR, and First Aid certification or be able to obtain within 6 months of employment. Must be able to use sound judgment, accomplish tasks within established timeframes, and possess good people skills requiring the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner. Must have experience with office functions such as preparing and managing reports.
Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
