This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney to join a team focused on post-conviction cases and collaborate with legal professionals across multiple practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, providing expert legal advice, and working closely with clients to ensure the best possible outcomes.Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and draft necessary legal documents for their casesHandle post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, early probation terminations, and motions to reduce chargesRepresent clients in motion hearings and provide strategic advice based on case developmentsManage open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencingAppear in court, draft motions, interview clients, and conduct legal researchAnalyze legal precedents to assess case outcomesCollaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistantsProvide thorough legal analysis to clients regarding possible case benefitsRequirements:Proven experience in Criminal Defense or Immigration LawBackground in managing criminal cases at the state and local levelsAbility to collaborate effectively with a legal teamStrong interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindsetBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State BarCertifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of CaliforniaSkills:Expertise in post-conviction relief proceduresKnowledge of criminal and/or immigration lawStrong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlinesJob Location:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)Paid parkingOpportunities for professional growth and career advancementCollaborative and supportive team environmentCompany info8/30/2022Ensure that lending compliance monitoring activity is completed and reported in a timely manner through assignment and direct participation.
