Position SummaryThe Data Manager will be an analytical individual with a background in biomedical sciences/veterinary medicine, eager to take on new challenges as we build a collaborative network of researchers and a sample biobank and initiatives for the Canine Bladder Cancer Consortium. A key aspect of this role is the ability to collaborate across departments and institutions, serving as a crucial link among scientists, clinicians, veterinarians, technicians, and dog owners. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter, comfortable communicating with people of various backgrounds via video calls and various digital platforms. This position offers flexibility, with remote and part-time applications considered.

Oversee data cleaning conducted by consortium members and dog owners.
Design and conduct quality control reviews of transformed data files prior to analysis.
Create and maintain data dictionaries to document cleaning and quality control processes; manage future iterations.
Handle data requests for studies and publications, acting as an expert intermediary.
Manage sample inventory requests and work with external contacts to resolve sample-related issues.
Write data descriptions for the Data Commons Platform.
Develop and/or review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around sample and/or data collection, management, and distribution.
Develop, promote, collect, and analyze survey results around sample and data interests and needs.
Develop social media platforms and coordinate outreach and growth of the community
