looking to hire a Ferrous Scrap Operations Manager to join the commercial team.Key Responsibilities / TasksManage, mentor and supervise the US operations team in all aspects of trade execution.Manage and improve the internal business operational procedures and paperwork processing by streamlining, standardizing / automating the operational processes.Manage and develop the team which will result in a customer focused organization which develops strong relationships with the commercial teams, the customers, and the mills.Train and help ops to liaise with stevedores, warehouses, trucking companies and other logistics service providers to co-ordinate day to day operational activity.Ensuring monthly warehouse reports are received / ageing inventory is optimized / true up with the stock information in the system.Key Qualifications / ExperienceIn depth knowledge of customer service and operation management.Experience in design and implementation of new operations procedures.Customer Focus with good communication and negotiation skillsSelf-management - manages own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goalsStaff management coordinate staff management in ways that improve their ability to succeed on the job and improve teamwork.
