Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to join the Microelectronics Division at Palm Bay, FL location. As a member of our dynamic and collaborative environment, you will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. You will lead a team of 10+ employees performing production operations in a wafer processing cleanroom. Essential Functions:
Owns the tactical execution of production to deliver customer hardware on-time, every time while maintaining cost and quality objectives.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product needs, equipment schedules, materials supply, and engineering development needs.
Works cross-functionally to implement product development plans, process deliverable hardware, create procedures for streamlining priorities, and closes production gaps.
Makes budgetary recommendations for improving efficiency, quality, or cost targets.
Develops schedules and manpower requirements for the assigned business area by selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Establishes operational rules, line management systems, and capacity systems for efficient and effective tracking of complex microelectronic hardware systems.
Manages a Production Team of 10+ employees responsible for deliverable hardware processing.
Supports Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software implementation and provides feedback for tracking, data collection, and automation improvements.
Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering to create automation systems and throughput performance feedback systems to successfully deliver site commitments.
Map and implement continuous improvements for overall production capability.
Coach and mentor team members in semiconductor operations and manufacturing best known methods.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Represent the company and its values in a professional and ethical manner.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
4+ years’ experience within the semiconductor industry focused on fab operations
Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Previous experience in one or more of the following semiconductor process areas: lithography, wet etch, dry etch, deposition, planar, metrology, etc.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
8+ years’ experience within the semiconductor industry focused on fab operations
Degree concentration in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, or related field
Hold an Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience working in classified government programs
Flexibility with job responsibilities and pro-active with assuming additional responsibilities related to scope
Strong collaboration skills focused on positive team dynamics and the ability to communicate effectively across multi-functional teams
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple sophisticated and complex tasks
