Senior Accountant
to join our client's team in Milwaukee. This is an **immediate Temp-to-Hire** opportunity, with the position initially serving on a temporary basis until fully trained, at which point it will convert to a permanent role. Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting monthly financial closing and the provision of all related financial reporting for the division in accordance with GAAP.Reviews Balance Sheet reconciliations and facilitates clearing un-reconciled items properly according to internal policies.Process hourly, salary and ad-hoc supplemental payrolls using Data Collection and ERP systems.Daily balancing of inventory and partnering with Operations and Purchasing to ensure alignment/resolutionEnsure all financial reporting deadlines are met (monthly, quarterly, and annually)Work directly with Division Leadership to identify/promote continuous improvement and Lean initiatives in operations, asset management and productivity programs to maximize operating efficiencies and profitabilityActs as consultant to various functional areas of the division with regards to financial issuesContinuous partnership with the Data Analytics and IT teams during all system enhancements and integrationsQualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience within in a mid-to-large size, publicly held, manufacturing company (or division thereof); experience at a "Big 4" or "Tier 2" accounting firm preferredExcellent working knowledge of US GAAP and working in a SOX environment is required.Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in financial reporting/consolidation systemsHigh energy change agent with proven ability to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced business environment.Experience with implementing, enhancing, and building templates for financial consolidation and business intelligence systems
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required. MBA is preferred. Accreditation in Accounting (CPA, CMA, or CIA) highly desirable.
