Database Administrator
for a leading neuroendovascular medical device company, that focuses on creating medical devices and solutions for neurosurgery and neurovascular treatment.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the owner for managing and maintaining database platforms, as well as a technical contributor to the implementation and/or enhancement of various software applications and business reports utilized across the organization.Ensure the smooth operation and integrity of databases while meeting performance, availability, and security requirements.Consult with business users to define functional requirements and business process design.Perform technical analysis and software configuration tasks required to fulfill business requirementsRequirements:Strong experience with day-to-day management of SQL database servers and performing database administration tasks. Knowledge of relational database concepts. Strong SQL (MS T-SQL) query skills, including creation/maintenance of table, view and stored procedure objectsExperience with business reporting tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or other business intelligence tools. Familiarity utilizing MS Excel to analyze/manipulate data and connect to external data using various methods of data connectionsFamiliarity with common business application concepts and software systems including enterprise resource planning (ERP), quality management systems (QMS), product lifecycle data management (PLM), workflow systems, mobile software technology, and other web-based business applicationsKnowledge and experience with standard technologies such as HTML, CSS, scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.), application security, and MS Windows server operating systemsAbility to research and provide solutions for system and/or application issues, troubleshoot software issues, work effectively with IT staff, technical consultants, and business users
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business, or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum seven (7) years of relevant work experience in performing database administration and supporting various business systems and applicationsGeneral knowledge of auditable application development, data management, and system security requirements within the enterpriseProficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
