Senior Director of Operations
The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for managing the operational function of the warehouse and the business. This position is responsible for leading and managing the Operations Team in order processing, fulfillment (including picking and packing), inventory and order tracking, quality control, and shipping preparation. The role is highly collaborative in nature therefore, strong communication skills are a must have.
Responsibilities:
Optimizing labor allocation and relations by partnering with HR to ensure the operation is adequately staffed. Managing and putting measures in place to improve operational productivity Manage the day-to-day operational function of the business such as: receiving, order processing, picking, packing, and shipping preparation. Maintain and track all inventory levels to prevent stock and order processing errors. Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, logistics management, and order fulfillment to meet operational goals Maintaining a safe warehouse floor to prevent accidents and occupational hazards Partner with the Receiving Manager to optimize the procurement of inventory to maintain and improve vendor relationships, performance, and lead times. Managing a dynamic team of operational managers, supervisors, leads, permanent and contract warehouse staff, as well as other direct reports. Maintaining positive and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers through effective and timely communication. Monitoring weekly reports on multiple fulfillment and performance standards. Communicate data driven and actionable updates to senior management to improve order fulfillment SLAs and vendor performance
Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED At least 2 years of years of experience managing a 3PL Operation Knowledge of software systems and technologies including IMS, WMS and other warehouse automation platforms (experience in ShipHero is a plus) Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite applications Strong time management skills Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet client and business needs. Strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrate timely and effective communication across the organization to ensure that SLAs and customer expectations are met. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
Work Environment:
This is an onsite position The Senior Director of Operations works in a warehouse environment. Ability to lift items over 50 lbs. Weekend Availability as required
