Managers may work as the lead or under the direct supervision of Senior Managers dependent upon the nature of the client engagement.
Managers must have strong communication skills as they interact with both firm team members and the client to deliver quality tax services for our clients. They must also have excellent organizational skills as they coordinate several engagements simultaneously while meeting set deadlines.
They train and lead senior associates and associates, instruct them in work to be performed, review the work completed, provide feedback, and direct necessary revisions. Managers may also have direct clients assigned to them as the AIC (Accountant In Charge).Reviews mid to high level business tax and individual income tax returnsAdvises clients regarding a full spectrum of tax servicesUses excellent judgment and analysis to make recommendations to clients during year-end and general tax planningOversees complex tax research projectsManages tax accounting projects to meet client needs within a specified time frameProvides feedback to Senior Managers and ShareholdersParticipates in the area of business developmentWorks as part of a team to provide tax accounting services for clientsManages client relationships by monitoring client needsIs a key point of contact for the client on day to day accounting mattersOversees and reviews work of Senior Associates and Associates including training and mentoringUtilized cloud-based technology and other tax softwarePerforms client billings for client services providedRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Business required, a Bachelors in Accounting preferred5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required including experience managing staffLicensed CPA or CMA license requiredUnderstanding of Federal and State tax laws and regulationsStrong technology skillsAbility to work on multiple projects and meet deadlinesAbility to communicate clearly in writing and verballyTeam playerAbility to think innovativelyBenefitsHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insurance; an employer funded profit-sharing plan with a 401(k) option (upon meeting eligibility requirements), group term life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and a flexible time off and paid leave program.
